Are dentures covered by insurance?

It depends on the type dental insurance plan, whether it’s your personal insurance or one that’s offered by your employer. Dental insurance plans can vary significantly. It’s important to check your personal insurance or insurance coverage from your employer to see if they cover “Major Restorative Dental Services” – which includes dentures. Average insurance plans cover 50-70% of Basic Dentures and 50-100% of maintenance procedures that include Repairs/Relines/Adjustments. Contact us if you need help figuring out your insurance policy.

Are dentures covered by OHIP?

No. Unfortunately dentures aren’t covered by OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan), however they are covered under “CDCP” – the new “Canadian Dental Care Plan”.
