Teeth In a Day (All-on-4)
You’ve probably heard this term on TV, on the radio, in the newspapers, or on the internet. Is this real or just a marketing move? The answer “It is real” and we do it. Teeth In a Day, also known as Nobel Biocare’s All-on-4 and Straumann Pro-arch, is a procedure of replacing a full arch of compromised teeth with 4-6 implants and a fixed bridge all in one step in a single day.
You come in with your damaged natural teeth and leave with a set of permanent teeth that you can use right away (with a series of precautions). In a nutshell: the temporary bridge is made before the extractions of your natural teeth. On the day of surgery compromised teeth are removed, 4-6 implants are placed in your jawbone and the full arch of teeth is secured to the implants.
What You Need To Know About Teeth in a Day
You will arrive to our office for the complimentary consultation, get your mouth assessed and options explained. We collaborate with various oral surgeons in the area to run diagnostic procedures and scans of your jawbone to assess how many implants will be necessary for the rehabilitation of your jaw. You will have an in-depth consultation with the oral surgeon that will explain all of the aspects of the surgical procedure.
On the day of the surgery you will arrive at the office, get anaesthesia administered (local or general) and surgery will be performed (extractions and implant placement). After the surgery is finished (typically 2 hours for 1 arch) the provisional prosthesis (temporary bridge) will be secured to the implants that have been placed (another 2-3 hours). That’s it. Leave your appointment with the new teeth.
Follow-Up
Several follow-up appointments will be scheduled with the surgeon to make sure that the healing is going well along with the follow-up at our clinic to make sure that the prosthesis is functioning well. Six months after the surgery, you will come back to our office to replace the temporary bridge with the final (permanent) one. At that time we will assess the current prosthesis and will make any esthetical/functional changes necessary so your teeth will look and function like your natural teeth.

Fixed Implant dentures
read more
Fixed Implant dentures, also known as permanent dentures are a non-removable option for the replacement of all of the missing teeth in the arch. Messy adhesives and need to remove the denture at night are a thing of the past. Contrary to common belief, you do not need to get an implant placed for each missing tooth. The full arch of teeth can be usually supported by as few as 4-6 implants.
Fixed Implant dentures vs All-on-4/Teeth-In-a-Day
The main difference between All-on-4 and the regular Fixed Implant dentures is that the All-on-4 procedure requires extractions of your teeth and placement of implants on the same day where fixed implant denture(s) is usually done gradually, in several stages. Teeth need to be removed, your bone needs to heal, implants need to be placed and once they integrate with your bone, the permanent denture can be made. During the healing process you will be wearing a temporary denture to replace your teeth and allow your oral tissues to heal.

Fixed Implant dentures usually require placement of a minimum of 4 dental implants. This prosthetic solution stimulates and maintains the bone, restores the esthetics, chewing function and self-esteem. You will not need to remove it and will brush it like you would clean your natural teeth. It is the best fixed dental solution available to permanently restore all of the missing teeth.

Removable Implant dentures
read more
A Removable Implant denture is the most cost-effective Implant denture option available. It requires the placement of a minimum of 2 dental implants. After implants fuse with the bone, the dentures are clipped to the implants via attachments. Teeth can be removed for cleaning and the use of denture adhesive is eliminated in 98% of the cases. These Removable Implant dentures will not move in your mouth in comparison to Standard dentures, giving back your self-confidence, ability to chew the foods you love, improving your digestion, and overall health and well-being.
Dental Implants Before Dentures
Instead of dealing with the discomfort of dentures, many choose full-mouth dental implant restoration. This process uses 4 to 6 implants in the jawbone to support bridges that replace all missing teeth, closely mimicking natural teeth. Contrary to belief, an implant is not needed for each missing tooth.

Implant Dentures FAQs
Can you sleep with Removable Implant Supported dentures?
In most cases, no. Removable Implant-supported dentures should be taken out daily, cleaned, and soaked in a denture-cleaning solution to remove bacteria and help them last longer.
Sleeping with them in is not recommended unless your dentist or denturist specifically advises that it’s safe for you.
Can I finance my Implant dentures?
Yes! Apple Denture & Implant Solutions helps patients explore financing and installment options through Canada’s major banks, including CIBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank, and RBC. Financing approvals and payment plans are arranged directly with your bank.
How soon can I wear dentures after dental implant surgery?
During the healing period after implant surgery – usually 3 to 6 months – the implants stay covered while they integrate with the bone. During this time, you will wear a Temporary or modified denture.
Once healing is complete, your final Implant-supported dentures will be fitted and attached to the implants.
How do you care for Removable Implant Supported dentures?
Clean them every day to keep them in good condition.
- Remove your dentures and brush them gently with a denture brush and a non-abrasive denture cleanser.
- Soak them daily in a denture cleaning solution.
- Clean your gums and the areas around the implant posts each day.
Proper daily care helps extend the life of your dentures and keeps your smile healthy and bright.
What foods or drinks should I avoid after dental implant surgery?
During the healing period, avoid foods and drinks that can irritate the area or interfere with implant healing, including:
- Sugary or acidic items (soft drinks, candy, citrus fruits, tomatoes)
- Crunchy foods (chips, nuts, cookies, hard fruits)
- Sticky or chewy foods (gum, raisins, peanut butter)
- Very hot or very cold foods and drinks
- Spicy foods
- Alcohol
These can increase the risk of infection, gum inflammation, or cause the implants to shift before they properly fuse with the jawbone.
How long do Implant dentures last?
Dental implants themselves are designed to last a long time—often 20 to 25 years with proper care. Regular check-ups every few years help ensure they remain healthy and stable.
The Implant-supported dentures that attach to them usually need to be replaced every 5 to 8 years, depending on the type of denture and how much the teeth have worn.
Did Digital dentures change the way Implant dentures are made?
Yes. Digital denture technology has greatly improved how Implant dentures are designed and made.
Using computer-based design, we can create highly accurate, precise restorations. This allows for a wide range of options – from Temporary Acrylic Implant bridges to Full-contour Zirconia bridges – to reliably replace all missing teeth with excellent fit and function.
